My name is Alan Boudreault, I’m a freelance software developer. I’m an Open Source software enthusiast with a strong interest of the C/C++, Python and GNU/Linux worlds.

I’m a developer of the MapServer software and also a contributor in some other projects such as GDAL/OGR, Mitab and MapCache. I’m also a debian/ubuntu packager and the administrator of UbuntuGIS.

In my own time, I love reading computer programming books and I’m a strong physical fitness devotee.

About this blog

The only goal of this blog is to share various thoughts and tutorials related to my interests. I would like to mention that my native language is French, so I would be glad to correct the English errors in my blog posts if you point them to me.
